Year end audits are customary operations that are carried out to verify the financial statements of a legal entity. Large accounting firms have large auditing departments which conduct these annual checks of financial statements of corporate clients to ensure the accouting carried out by the internal finance team of the company are correct and justifiable. Forensic audits are those carried out on financial statements when reports have become subject of investigation or a matter before the courts.
